BRO FRANKLIN IS BACK! My favorite uncle, notorious for his ability to pop and lock better than anybody on his home continent. This latest episode is him crashing an album release party at the church. He literally takes over. I don’t even think he’s supposed to be up on stage. Talk about the holy ghost.

My lord. Thanks to Eki for showing me this.

Kanye West x Spike Jonze – "We Were Once A Fairytale".

A (really) weird little short film that Kanye and director (who is from Rockville, MD by the way. That’s where I grew up.) Spike Jonze created. Let me know how you like it, and if you understood what was going on.

JME – Over Me [Video].

I have a lot of family in the UK, so when I was younger, I was put on to the garage / grime movement. I started with So Solid Crew and Oxide & Neutrino, and now I’m all about that Boy Better Know camp. My favorite grime artist, JME, dropped this joint from his upcoming album Digital Dropout. I think it’s incredible. Wordplay is crazy, and it’s just different. I mean, who else drops 8 different short verses? I’m all about it. The video dropped in mid-August, and I’ve just seen it for the first time today. Expect to see more grime up here regularly, and if you need more grime, e-mail me and I’ll get you hip. If you don’t know what he’s saying (the accent can do that to you sometimes. Get cultured though. I’m just playing. Sheesh.), hit the “continue reading”; I got those lyrics for you so you can follow and see why it’s clever.

Dose – Where They Do That At [Remix] [feat. Rick Ross & Fabolous].

young dose. DCtoBC.com.

I’m over at my man Aris‘ crib, and he puts me onto the newest artist he’s working with, Desert Storm Ent’s Young Dose. I guess this joint came out a little while ago, but it goes pretty hard. Doesn’t hurt that Fab and Ricky Ross lend verses to the joint, either. I can see this joint being a trunk rattling anthem in muscle cars and Range Rovers in states below the Mason Dixon line. Oh, and can we bring Fab’s intro line back real quick? “I get that Rihanna money / f**k it up like Chris Brown / No Disrespect to RiRi / Not putting Chris down…”

Lord. @BoutDatMoney thinks he looks like a light-skinned version of Chamillionaire. LOL. Enjoy.

Uffie – Pop The Glock [Video].

This is a huge, huge video to me because if you went back to the now-defunct DCtoBC.blogspot.com, you’d see that the first post I ever made for the site was on Uffie and this song, amongst others. We also played this song first on the first ever DC to BC radio show way back when. Now, 1100+ posts and 1.5 years later, she’s dropped a video for it. Finally. Why wasn’t I alerted!? Anyway, those Parisians (read: people from Paris, France) go hard. Ed Banger Records isn’t messing around. And the animation is bonkers.

This is the greatest video blogger in the history of video blogging. Yeah, it dropped 2 weeks ago, but I just never got around to throwing it up. Maestro is a beast. Watch him infiltrate the athletes version Disney World, also known as the Nike Campus, based in Beaverton, Oregon. It’s incredible. Just watch.
