BRO FRANKLIN IS BACK! My favorite uncle, notorious for his ability to pop and lock better than anybody on his home continent. This latest episode is him crashing an album release party at the church. He literally takes over. I don’t even think he’s supposed to be up on stage. Talk about the holy ghost.

The Clipse host an exclusive listening party/signing to play some their new album that drops December 8th Til The Casket Drops. Pusha T takes the reigns from the beginning, with Malice making a cameo somewhere in there for show. The younger of the Thronton brothers discusses the philosophy behind a few of the songs, as well as explains the creative process of the new album. They also speak a little bit on label drama and their Play Cloths clothing line. Talk about hustlers. Shout out to videographer Adam Saewitz and my man KQuick for throwing the footage my way.
Hot damn! The album has a whole rack of trunk rattlers. I heard P produced like 7 tracks, but I may be way off on that. Sidenote: I ran into Skateboard P on Monday at a very empty lounge / club in Baltimore (meaning we spoke and such, there was literally barely anybody there, so I could approach him without being too stalkering / groupie status), and was a little disappointed with the (little) interaction he had with his fans, but that’s not anything that I should be blogging about. Shout out to Fam-Lay, Chad Hugo, and the dude who runs the N*E*R*D twitter page, they were all cool as hell. Meeting your idol can, as I’ve now experienced, be very anti-climactic. He was appreciative of the N*E*R*D tattoo on my back though.
I’m just playing. It doesn’t exist. Yet. In the meantime, I’m preparing myself for this album by jamming their last mixtape. Enjoy.

I have a lot of family in the UK, so when I was younger, I was put on to the garage / grime movement. I started with So Solid Crew and Oxide & Neutrino, and now I’m all about that Boy Better Know camp. My favorite grime artist, JME, dropped this joint from his upcoming album Digital Dropout. I think it’s incredible. Wordplay is crazy, and it’s just different. I mean, who else drops 8 different short verses? I’m all about it. The video dropped in mid-August, and I’ve just seen it for the first time today. Expect to see more grime up here regularly, and if you need more grime, e-mail me and I’ll get you hip. If you don’t know what he’s saying (the accent can do that to you sometimes. Get cultured though. I’m just playing. Sheesh.), hit the “continue reading”; I got those lyrics for you so you can follow and see why it’s clever.

Yeah, you heard me. My man from “Smart Guy”. The homie who has two of the baddest twin sisters in the history of twins. Not only is he still kicking, but he’s pursuing a singing career, and HE’S PRETTY DAMN GOOD! Listen to him kill Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” real quick, I think you’ll be impressed.
I’m interested in what else he’s about to put out. I heard his single, but there’s too much auto-tune, Tahj! I hear the potential though, and I want to see if he can Drake it out and make the transition to a new part of the entertainment industry.

This is the greatest video blogger in the history of video blogging. Yeah, it dropped 2 weeks ago, but I just never got around to throwing it up. Maestro is a beast. Watch him infiltrate the athletes version Disney World, also known as the Nike Campus, based in Beaverton, Oregon. It’s incredible. Just watch.

Any person in a sticky circumstance can relate to this song. The sample is insane, from an old Bob Marley song I believe, and is one of the hardest Supreeme songs I’ve ever heard. You may have heard the song a while ago (get it here if you haven’t), but this video has a new verse that’s not on the mp3 version. I don’t know who that guy is, but he kills his 16 bars. Enjoy it. i dedicate it to my seniors who aren’t sure they’re on track for graduation, and my people in economical binds. We’ll make it out.
The first time I heard these guys, I think it was with my girl Alex. She had all these tracks on a random CD, and I popped it in the car’s stereo system. I got to this joint and brought it back like 30 times. This was the song I heard. It’s unreleased, and I don’t know if they’ll be upset that I’m throwing it to the internet, but I’ll tell you one thing: it’s trill. It’s from ‘06 or ‘07, but it just made sense to give it to you guys today.

We told you last week that the mini-series chronicling Mike Posner’s senior year and road to fame was coming last week. Here’s the first episode. It’s pretty awesome, I like how they’re making us wait another two weeks before the next one drops. Ha. Enjoy.

This is the first Gucci video that rocks. Plies verse is so trill and I’m happy they didn’t try and swap that weak-willy OJ Da Juiceman verse out. This was the summer anthem in my book, don’t care what anybody else says. Marcel threw me the oop for this one. Good looks, bruv.
