i think it was blind i’s $ulaiman that said that the drugs over at whatever studio they created these tracks must have been top-notch. oh boy.

i’ll be honest. i like wayne, and i think anything that skateboard touches is golden. but i’m just not sure about these, at all. still debating. i like them, but i may just be biased. songs take more than a few days to soak through me, though. i think the best out of all of them is “troublemaker”, although i like how P sounds in “ay man”, and he gets points for calling himself metatron. what does it mean!? i don’t know. but i like it. his flow in that joint reminds me of fam-lay mixed with juvenile and swizz beatz.

i’m throwing them your way for your own personal enjoyment. don’t be mad at me, i’m just the messenger.

i’m guessing these aren’t making it anywhere but the mixtape circuit, because they’ve leaked. so that should say enough about how they both felt about them. at least P got some (more) $$$.

oh, and i’ve decided: troublemaker is trill. it also happens to be the only one that you don’t really have skateboard on the track except on the hook for a quick second, singing in that falsetto. people may conclude that he shouldn’t be rapping with wayne. you let me know.

this neptune-produced masterpiece was supposed to go on jeezy’s second album, but never saw the light of day. until right now. skateboard hits the hook and gives us a verse reminiscent of his tracks from his dj drama mixtape, "in my mind: the prequel". that joint was P at his finest. in fact, i’ma upload that for you all later in the week. but yeah, it’s a different jeezy. i’m still a fan though. definitely would have helped to balance out the abundance of trunk bangers he had on that CD.

UPDATE: i need to know if i’m going crazy out here. i knew this melody sounded a little familiar, and i’m like 60% sure that he just slowed down the hidden beat on the track “little suzie” off kelis’ wanderland album, and sampled just a small segment of it. somebody let me know if i’m tripping, please. the hidden track comes in at like 4:25. check it out and tell me if i’m right or not! it’ll drive me crazy all day if i don’t figure it out.

concrete loop reports that N*E*R*D’s frontman was posted at the riviera zushi marina in kanagawa, japan, performing with the group for MTV vibrations ‘08. he looks half-asian there with that dirt lip mustache, so he must have felt at home.

i had to dig into the archives and grab one of his best verses. “high rollers,” off his gangsta grillz mixtape. who said the man can’t rap, anyway?

re-up, because this joint is too vicious to just let it slide to the bottom of the blog, getting no love from all you guys. you know what’s funny? all those okayplayer-haters who dismissed this as a lackluster common track have been jamming this heavily. told you it was a thorough joint.

every once in a while, there’s a youtube clip that i just gotta give creators their props. and i think this one of them. my man’s cousin, tahir, and his homie made this "i know" spoof. and i actually really like it. tahir has the pharrell swag down to a science. HA! enjoy.

i’m back. and so is common, and so is pharrell. i feel like skateboard recorded this joint while he had a mean cough/cold hybrid, because his voice sounds extra baritone. i’m just saying though. check out how he just sticks his head into the video out of nowhere, too. yzr.

these guys deserve more than 100K in record sales. but that’s what happens when you drop the same day as a guy who went gold in 24 hours.

i found this gem during my rare sign-on session to myspace. listen to them talk about that body ink. it’s more interesting than it sounds.

skateboard p tells you what’s hot in his book. not too sure how i feel about that big purple bag though. maybe when i get to that level, but right now, i can’t fade it. good looks, barron.
