THE BARE MIDRIFF!!!!
Larry and Jerry mull ideas for the “Seinfeld” reunion show, including an assistant’s attire and a religious symbol. Episode was epic, as usual. Goodness. Enjoy.

Some grimey, gutta, unradio-friendly Clipse is back. Exaaactly what he industry nerds and people who think they’re in the industry (like little ol’ me) have been waiting for over the last 6 months. Well, it’s here. Finally. And Cam’Ron on a Pharrell beat!? We got that CD quality, and the dirty version. So know where you got that $#!t. Thanks, and enjoy. Til The Casket Drops, dropping soon.

More new Wiz, this latest joint is off his forthcoming “Burn After Rollin” mixtape which drops so soon that you can taste it. It’s a remix of “Walking on a Dream” by Australian electronica group Empire of the Sun (who got some love from the hip hop community after Jay-Z reached out and decided to throw them on the BP3).
Honestly, I think if he wanted to remix any song on their album, he shoulda rocked that “Delta Bay”. I hope he reads this and decides to take on that task, because THAT is their craziest track. Nonetheless, it’s a smooth joint. I’ll include the original. My younger brother actually put me on these guys a while back, so credit him for it all. Enjoy.

Good GRIEF. This episode was hilarious. It’s called “Denise Handicap” and it’s about Larry’s encounters with some wheelchair-bound women. It’s incredible. Enjoy.

I’m over at my man Aris‘ crib, and he puts me onto the newest artist he’s working with, Desert Storm Ent’s Young Dose. I guess this joint came out a little while ago, but it goes pretty hard. Doesn’t hurt that Fab and Ricky Ross lend verses to the joint, either. I can see this joint being a trunk rattling anthem in muscle cars and Range Rovers in states below the Mason Dixon line. Oh, and can we bring Fab’s intro line back real quick? “I get that Rihanna money / f**k it up like Chris Brown / No Disrespect to RiRi / Not putting Chris down…”
Lord. @BoutDatMoney thinks he looks like a light-skinned version of Chamillionaire. LOL. Enjoy.

You know I’m an N*E*R*D fanatic, so you know I’d have this new joint that they performed this summer with Santigold at MTV’s Spring Break. Off their new album, I like both versions, so in addition to the CD quality version, I’ve got the live joint they did this spring. Interested in which one you dig more, so feel free to throw your opinion in the comments section. Enjoy.

He dropped this via his twitter, unconverted. My ninja Omar hit me with the retweet, so I’m over here using my tools to turn .wav to .mp3. And I succeeded. Apparently, it’s an old DJToomp beat, and it samples The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” (you know, that track that made Cruel Intentions that much better? That joint.). Let’s get it.

Janelle Monae is finally back with some new music, and it sounds like some experimental, vintage, rock/soul stuff. In other words, this song is something special. This Monday has been pretty good to the music industry.
This joint was a special delivery by my homies from Cornerstone and the Kia Soul Collective tour that I hit up a few weeks ago in DC. This is also the first taste of new music from Monae’s epic new album, set for an early 2010 release.

Pigeons and Planes just gave me an extremely, extremely trill joint from indie rock / pop / folklore band Vampire Weekend. The Columbia University grads sound like Paul Simon in 2010, and I’m all about that. This new joint is called “Horchata”, and it’s the first single from their upcoming album, Contra. I hope they named it after the video game, but I highly doubt it.
I’m sitting here jamming while trying to figure out what the meaning of the song is. Those xylophones are something special though! I’m about to get some horchata in December and just sip it. Sounds great.
