I’m over at my man Aris‘ crib, and he puts me onto the newest artist he’s working with, Desert Storm Ent’s Young Dose. I guess this joint came out a little while ago, but it goes pretty hard. Doesn’t hurt that Fab and Ricky Ross lend verses to the joint, either. I can see this joint being a trunk rattling anthem in muscle cars and Range Rovers in states below the Mason Dixon line. Oh, and can we bring Fab’s intro line back real quick? “I get that Rihanna money / f**k it up like Chris Brown / No Disrespect to RiRi / Not putting Chris down…”
Lord. @BoutDatMoney thinks he looks like a light-skinned version of Chamillionaire. LOL. Enjoy.

This was my least favorite song on the album, but after Marky jumped on it, it’s grown on me. He teamed up with DP from Dat New Cudi x Sixty4Harmony (interesting fact: these guys are who host my blog right now. Like, I changed servers and jumped on board with DP. Thank you, DP. He’s selling server space for the low! $15. Holler at him.)

Stuttering Stanley’s long lost cousin. Real or fake? If it’s real, I feel bad. If it’s not, I feel no remorse. But seriously, they need to put him through media training, because he didn’t sound like that on draft day. Or maybe he just has a bad stutter. You be the judge.
Remix videos already out! LOLOL you can’t not laugh at this one! I’m about to find the mp3.

amerie’s touch album was one of my favorite joints in recent years, and then she disappeared for a while. she’s too sexy to just fall off the map! at least get some modeling done or something! believe it or not, amerie is a DMV representer. she even went to georgetown, man. anyway, here’s her latest leak from her def jam debut album. she recruited wayne, and he did alright. the track has a very mainstream sound, but it’s smooth, and plus, i figure since i never put R&B up, i should do so. shout out to my ninja over at P&P for this.

WALE!!! and GUCCI!
yeah, i didn’t stutter, or mistype. it’s an epic collaboration that i’m a big fan of. and if you’re wondering why i didn’t drop this when it came out, it’s because this is what i was in the middle of posting when my site collapsed like the lung of george clooney in that movie, three kings. you know what i’m talking about.
let’s ask gucci how he feels about pretty girls.
i agree, sir. i agree. anyway, whoever suggested gucci get on this track knows exactly what they were doing. this song will further spread the good word of the rap ambassador for the capital, as well as the DC sound that is go-go. i just wish gucci didn’t sound so damn quiet on the track! we need more enthusiasm, gucci! this joint goes harder than “chillin” to me. it’s also insulting to the ugly girls. or brutally honest, you be the judge. let’s get it.
“ugly girls quiet / pretty girls wild.”

wow. chip just gained about 10,000 cool points for interweaving some real potent, emotional and honest verses on the classic sublime track, “pawn shop”. this is why the man should have been featured on that XXL magazine cover (wiz was also noticeably absent, as was drake. i’m just saying.) enjoy this, it will possibly turn you into a believer. shout out to my man kyle by the way, who told me that when we put up chip’s mixtape back in the day, he was quickly convinced after i put up that sample of “babyman”. and kyle’s a hard guy to win over! so you know chip is the truth.

not much to say except that the underappreciated MC k’naan hits us with some incredibly candid lines, at times alluding to his hardships in somalia and some other cool metaphors that i haven’t quite grasped yet. regardless, it’s smooth. this beat will rock until 2085, i can never get sick of it. and as for k’naan, his story is pretty incredible, so do some research when you can, and STOP SLEEPING ON GREAT TALENT. i posted a few joints from him a while ago, so use and abuse that search bar to find them. enjoy.

this is a re-up. from july ‘08. almost a year ago.
if for some reason you didn’t feel him the first time, you will this time around.
this is monumental music, and i’m honored to be the guy to leak it. it’s so vicious that i’m tempted not posting anything else on this blog today. that way, it’ll be the only thing on everybody’s mind. unfortunately, i need to post a few things, but i feel like hope that by the end of the day, one of the big dog blogs would have snatched it, talking about “did you hear about that guy j. cole?”
yerp. that’s how i’m going. he reps fayetteville, NC as hard as fresh prince reps west philly. and furthermore, he makes all of his own beats. like this joint.
