Oh $#!T. I’m broke, but my birthday is tomorrow, so if anybody wants to buy me this, I can’t say I won’t cry tears of joy.
Pharrell plays model to an upcoming BP3 t-shirt, which should be the first of three designs paying tribute to the #1 album in America. A release can be expected next week although few other details are known at this time. Stay tuned for a more comprehensive look in the coming days.

it’s hump day, and i’m in the mood to spread great music to the masses. the first joint is from ‘03, off the TAXI soundtrack. this is where skateboard p first used that “it wasn’t us” beat that you may know from The Neptunes Present…Clones compilation album. it’s too trill, and he spits high caliber bars like he does on that dj drama gangsta grillz joint he put out before his album back in ‘05/’06. second verse is a french rapper who i’ve never heard of before, but if i knew what he was saying, i’m sure i’d applaud his efforts. jam it.

second is a joint that was on one of the blast off mixtapes i put out last year, but it’s too classic so i’m throwing it up for the lazy in an attempt to win them over. heard it in the whip today and figured you all needed it in your lives. features french group cassius, who i’ve previously featured on this site. use the search bar to get more of their stuff. they’re up there with daft punk and justice if you ask me.

OH MY GOD. pharrell is back at it.
whose gonna lace the beat!? GOD KNOWS! clipse, i hope. apparently, it’s from the soundtrack for the animated movie descpicable me, starring the office’s steve carell (or michael, aka mr. “that’s what she said.”). my brother from another, barron from pocket full of paper, put me on. this made my day. shucks, i’m bout to write my own verse real quick.

u-s, h-e-r, r-a, y-m, o-n-d & skateboard p (along w/ chad hugo on the boards, officially making the production a beat by the neptunes) link up to make some more jams. the song is meh to me, but skateboard p is like a shoe-in on this blog. if he’s doing it, i’m putting it up. beleeee dat.
a more powerful usher / neptunes collabo is the leaked track that never made it on anybody’s album, called “flash”. it does more for me than this joint above, but you be your own judge.

the clipse is finally leaking some joints from the album, and OH MY GOD. THIS IS THE JAM OF THE WEEK IN MY BOOK. NOTHING ELSE TO SAY BESIDES THIS.
i just ran through my entire house and put this on the big speakers. this album is about to be a classic. and yes, anything made by the neptunes in my book is gold or platinum. this included. shout out to complex magazine for leaking this gem today.

i have been waiting for this for weeks, and it’s finally here. star trak’s newest signees, rockstars chester french, deliver a mixtape free album just two weeks before their debut drops in stores everywhere. i’m serious.
as band members D.A. and Max explain,

so there you have it. what mixtape album has this many incredible guests on it? like, go back up and read the names in bold. i bolded them so you could see whose on the tape. no other rock act has this much pull, i’ll tell you that much. i’ve seen these guys live twice, and they were incredible. i implore you to scoop this freebie right here. it’s gonna be the best thing you’ve heard in a minute. seriously. the star power is way too serious on this joint.

the first joint from big sean that i ever heard didn’t impress me at all. but when i heard pharrell was in the studio with him working on the album, i had to give him a second chance. so i downloaded a mixtape, and heard a snippet of this song. it cut off in the middle of the second verse, and i went mad trying to find a full version. HERfection cised me with it the other day, and i’ve been playing it ever since. this is indeed coolest rhyme scheme as of late. just listen to the first verse and you’ll see what i mean. or not. but you’ll at least see what i’m saying. it’s produced by WrighTrax, and the beat is wild too.

the french house sensation cassius are definitely no newcomers in the game. look at the picture, and you’ll think i mistakenly put up a picture of some random european metrosexual OG’s. nah, dude. that’s them. and they rock.
the dynamic duo got started producing paris’ MC solaar back in ‘98. i remember being in middle school and somebody hipping me to solaar. i didn’t know what he was saying, but i could tell he was going hard. and now i know where his ill beats came from. anyway, a few years later, they wanted to advance and further elcecticize their sound, so they started grooving in the house music circuit.
in a few years, they cultivated a unique sound composed of good soul music, blues and jazz, and everything else funky enough for them. the result is some of the most melodic house music i’ve ever heard. i wouldn’t even call it house music – it’s beyond that. listen for yourself.
