RIP to the King of Pop. In honor of his birthday today, I’ve decided to post one of my all-time favorite movies, Moonwalker.

I kid you not. The entire joint is in DCtoBC’s patented HD (hella dope) quality. You know you’ve been looking for this for a few years.

If you haven’t seen this joint, then clear your schedule and watch it immediately. The film includes everything from the live concert scenes to the part where he runs away from the crazy fans and battles the rabbit to the actual movie. A classic. Although I wasn’t in the business school at Boston College, I was a Communications major, and took enough marketing and advertising classes to consider myself well versed in a lot of that stuff. Talk about cutthroat! I’m still trying to get into that industry in some capacity, though. GOD KNOWS! clipse, i hope. apparently, it’s from the soundtrack for the animated movie descpicable me, starring the office‘s steve carell (or michael, aka mr. “that’s what she said.”). my brother from another, barron from pocket full of paper, put me on. this made my day. shucks, i’m bout to write my own verse real quick.

he’s baaaaack. . .

phenomenal documentary about two kids on the west side of chicago and their lives that revolve entirely around basketball. you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll do it all when you watch this. it’s a gem that more people should see. anybody who ever played a sport will love it. i don’t think anybody doesn’t like this movie. real talk. so if you can only watch one of these movies, i’d go with this.

oh my god. pixar can do no wrong.

this was a classic in elementary school. the trailer looks pretty great. a lot different than the book. if anybody has a copy of the book, let me know.

i love adam sandler, and that seth rogen guy is cool too.

my cousin hit me up about this ill documentary called CALL+RESPONSE, and i figured i’d put you all on, too. it exploits the thriving slavery industry in developing countries around the world, and chronicles the responses that various artists, from talib kweli to moby to natacha beningfield (and so many more) create. to quote the synopsis: “music is part of the movement against human slavery.” it’s a deep film. super scholar dr. cornel west narrates it all, connecting the music of the american slave fields to the popular music we listen to today, and offering this connection as a rallying cry for the modern abolitionist movement currently brewing. check the trailer below.
