Nostalgic from my Boston College days, I decided to throw up a video that me and my right hand man Ricardo created the day before we graduated. Exams had us stressed out, so we had to just let loose real quick. Notice how I had a beard, by the way. This is pretty much how every day of school was for us, though. Let’s get it.

cleveland chip tha ripper is someone that DC to BC has supported since his can’t stop me mixtape from last year (he’s nice, i promise you. grab the tape here if you don’t believe me!). look out for the cleveland show (both the mixtape and the new family guy spin-off show), coming soon. check his interview on VIMBY below, and shout out to the guys over at slab up.
i can’t just throw the DC to BC stamp of approval on every mixtape. but this time, me and my blog affiliate, D. Omen had to. if you recall, i featured a G*Two track back on one of those collabo DMV mixtapes that me and a couple of (now defunct) area blogs put together last year.
well, it’s ‘09, and my man G* has crafted a short but sweet mixtape that i believe is very official. one of my favorite out the DMV, and definitely grinding. i respect humble artists who have a knack for putting together tight tracks with interesting concepts, and especially when you can relate in someway or another. i mean, there’s a track about that long, late night drive home after the booty call (“295″ feat. X.O.), and the beats are crazy, including a few flipped samples from old songs that you’ll probably recognize and some original production. the entire project was produced by Bread Scorsese, so if you need some beats, find that guy out in the streets (of the internet).features the likes of Ice The Villain, Bread (yep, he’s rapping), Young Mutt, Young Doc, X.O., kaZ, Cadi Mac, Hoffa, Mo C.H.I.P.S., and of course his hometeam, The Congregation. let me know how you like the mixtape, i’ve had it in heavy rotation for a couple days. hopefully this will be the first step for G* to get the respect he deserves in this emerging DMV hip hop scene. check the sample below, which is a hidden track (after the last song on the mixtape), and check the VIDEO below that. download link is below that. enjoy, and spread the good word please!

but back to the matter at hand. episode 6 is here. it’s called “murphy’s lie” in case you were wondering. synopsis below.
synopsis: eric mulls a job offer and tries to rebound from an ill-advised remark to ashley (“sorry, sloan.” why the fool calling this crazy-looking girl sloan? sloan is way sexier, why is he parlaying with this wack chick? come on, E. get it together.); drama puts himself between jamie-lynn and a notorious TV boss; ari is surprised by an agency visit from andrew’s wife.
ok, so you’re caught up to speed? here you go. download links below the streaming episode. HD as usual. if you need old episodes from this season, just click here. leave comments please, so i can get an idea of whose grateful out here. let’s get it.

my basketball coach, steve rubin, used to tell our team after we lost games: “hey, you know what i gotta say about last week’s game? one word: history. now go out there and play some ball.”
guess what. last week, i took an L. but what did coach rubin say?! LAST WEEK IS HISTORY! new day, baby. i’m back. don’t ever think i’m going anywhere. cuz i’m not. i do it for the guys with no HBO because premium cable costs too much, and we’re in a recession. i do it for the kids in those college dorms, sweating buckets during summer school because there’s no AC or good TV where they stay at. yerp. i’m still cruising. call me a martyr, a rebel, whatever.
now, back to business. Running on E is the name of this week’s episode, the fourth of the sixth season.
the trill synopsis of the episode: finally, stuff is getting interesting. i mean, with production on vince’s next film delayed and all, the man’s gotta find a way to amuse himself! and remember last episode, when we found out that the OG andrew was spitting game at that pretty young thing, lizzie!? well, he tells ari he’s ended his affair with her, but ari has lloyd keep an eye on him anyway. drama is still at it, auditioning actresses to play his new love interest on that weak-willy joint he’s working on, “five towns”; jamie-lynn takes Turtle shopping for back-to-school clothes; and a bored E contemplates his next move.
so now you have that. check back SHORTLY to get the HD (hella dope) video streaming, as well as the link(s) to download the new episode. and if it’s your first time on this site, i’ll assure you, ain’t no bull$#!t product out here. don’t believe me?

my power is about to go out because of this crazy thunderstorm. lights are flickering on and off as we speak. i can’t say much besides j. cole is the future of hip hop, plain and simple. his flow is way too veteran status…somebody get him a deal. oh wait, he just got one. from (arguably) the best rapper alive.
produced by the homie elite out of NY. the two together are something like siegfried and roy. except nobody will get mauled by a tiger in the end. no disrespect. ha. look out for the warm up, dropping june 15th (i think).

the rich boys are everybody’s favorite new talent. and i don’t mean new like they just came out. they’ve been grinding for years, sitting on beats that would make the likes of yeezy and skateboard p shake in their boots. the nigerian-by-way-of-chicago-but-now-post-up-in-NYC duo (twins, if you didn’t catch that yet. come on, stay with me) have such appeal to eclectic musicgoers such as myself because they infuse so many different sounds and genres. you’ve heard their other stuff (if not, get familiar here, and QUICK!), but don’t get it twisted; if they wanna make something for hip hop veterans like the clipse or foxy brown, they can do that with utmost ease. and already have. click here and here, respectively if you don’t believe me. they made those, and much more. and they’re only a couple years older than me. what a resume.
i figured i’d treat you to a few gems that not everybody got a chance to grab before they hit MTV. that’s what i’m here for, anyway. quick history lesson 102: Christian Rich.
Section 001: Hit The Slopes.
if you don’t know armand van helden, then you better hit that wikipedia. the boston-born musicsmith is pictured above, and his globetrotting ways have led to him becoming one of the biggest international hit makers and remixers of all-time. somehow, someway, christian rich linked up with him and created this JAM. this needs to go on any party mix that you have in your iTunes immediately. jam it (if you’d like to see the video, it’s here, currently at almost 200,000 plays), and download the track below that.

creative people can come up with the trillest ideas in seconds. harmless daydreaming brought about the far-fetched idea of the three-time award winning trapper of the year, young jeezy eating at Lola’s in NYC’s tribeca neighborhood, and then heading off to perform at club sway, where his vocals would be placed over these less drug trafficking, but drug induced instrumentals.
then they turned it into a reality in a couple days, because they can do that. the short EP features 5 jeezy tracks remixed with some songs that you’re probably familiar with. it’s a jeezy you’ve never heard, and a christian rich that you’ve been dreaming to hear. click the artwork, or grab it via the link below.

the first video from the genre-bending duo, christian rich. i love it. there’s so much symbolism, you’ll feel like high school english class all over again. in a good way. like when you raised your hand and said something so great that you felt good about yourself for the entire day. you know!? enjoy.
huge shout out to the twins, huge shout out to BBGun, and huge shout out to by any means. i’m just happy that the entire process went smoothly. let me know your thoughts on the video, good or bad. i want people to dig deep like philosophy class or something! come on. blog discussions, like the old days.
