From 12 pm to 6pm on Friday, March 19th, DC to BC and The Great Progression, along with several other fine organizations, will be hosting Quality!, a South By Southwest showcase in Austin, TX. How did this all happen? If you’re interested, you better read on.
In other news, I’m still working on The Great Progression. It’s all in the designer’s hands now, because my work is basically complete. Stay up to date with the movement via Twitter: @TheGeePee. Oh, and me too (@DCtoBC). I know I always say it, but thanks for the support. Thanks for all you guys who grabbed the S.A.D. #2 as well; we did over 2,000 downloads total, and with no real promotional push besides some vicious word of mouth and a couple of blogs that I really f*ck with posting it. Thanks again for all that.

Yeah. So don’t give up on me just yet. The movement is still in motion, and things are going on behind the scenes! @TheGeePee! Don’t forget about it. Just follow that account on Twitter, as well as myself (@DCtoBC), and you’ll be in the loop. Don’t think you’re too cool to do so, either. It’s the easiest way to stay informed. Ha. I make it sound like I’m doing something important! Regardless, I appreciate you if you fuck with it all. Surprises are in store. Besides, I didn’t come to New York City for nothing.
The last cool thing I did before I left Maryland was this incredibly awesome photo shoot for AnmlHse, a clothing line out of Philly. My homegirl Juleidys invited me to come down and shot some pictures for their second “Big Deal” project. The pictures all turned out pretty awesome, and I hadn’t ever done anything like that before. I’m not really good at it, but luckily I had a natural, rapper Phil Ade, at the shoot with me. He gave me some pointers and helped me loosen up at the shoot.
Word of advice: drink before you do anything like that. It brings a candid version of you out that is okay with strangers watching you pose in strange positions. They took probably 200 pictures of me alone, but only three made it into the campaign book. Glad to be a part of such a powerful clothing line’s lookbook for the new season, and I thank the good folks at AnmlHse as well as 1st Impressions and JuJu for taking care of the photos and stuff. Check out the rest of the people in the campaign (so many shout outs, a lot of my homies were involved!) and grab your AnmlHse goods here.
Singles Awareness Day [S.A.D.] 2, dropping in a little over 12 hours. Get ready.

Leaps, strides, bounds, and whatever else goes in that category. Things are moving, and The Great Progression is looking at a launch around 2.10.2010.
Hopefully it’ll be something that you all enjoy. More news coming soon. My bad for the lack of updates, been trying to get myself situated. Finalizing some of this logo / artwork stuff, and assembling the team of writers. I’d like some more girls to contribute, so send me an e-mail with writing samples and area of intrest to info[at]DCtoBC.com.
I’ll be back sooner rather than later. The one thing I ask you guys to do if you’re a loyal fan of the site is to please help me spread the word about the launch, as well as follow the twitter account. @TheGeePee. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

I don’t have much to say here except thanks for the support through thick and thin. I know it’s particularly thin right now, but it’s for good reason. For those who gave said they caught thatJ. Cole mention in Complexand then the XXL “Top 100 Blogs in Hip-Hop” stamp, I appreciate it greatly.
Updates? Still working on The Great Progression. About 60% done with the top-secret project, and honestly I have no idea how it’s gonna turn out. I’m thinking of keeping both DC to BC and The Great Progression running, and leaving DC to BC for more personal and business-oriented posts and The Great Progression for everything else. We’ll see.
Limited updates until then. Just working on keeping the brand up. Collaborations coming up with Power Move Makers. Tees, New Era fitteds, stickers, and more DC to BC / The Gee Pee swag in the works. Parties, functions, gatherings popping up from the left coast to the right. About half of the things that I just typed are all hype, though. I don’t have any pull to be able to get a fitted created. But still, at least I aim high.
But really, we’re considering 3 launch parties in 3 cities (Boston, New York, DC), some guest blogging to help spread the word, we got some giveaways from some awesome brands, and some cool stuff in the works. I’ll start writing some stuff on here evey once in a while to keep you guys in the loop. Thank you for sticking with me in the midst of this dry spell. I went from hella posts to nothing at all. I’m sorry, but I think if you give me a bit, I’ll see what I can do.
I hope this blog post actually goes up; the internet in Nigeria is slower than a running turtle. Regardless. Let’s get it. Happy New Year too, while I’m at it.

Me and Dejan from DP Studios (he runs KiD CuDi’s fan site, as well as other powerful sites) have murdered the ePirates that tried to hold my site hostage.
Now that we’ve squashed those pests, stay tuned for some cool stuff, coming soon. Oh, and if you’re confused by the picture, that’s the late and great Rufio, from Hook. Let’s get it. Thanks to those who haven’t abandoned us in this blog recession.

The what?!
Achieving the Jordan means that today, Septbember 18th, is my 23rd birthday. I’m getting old. Grey hairs are coming in, I’m forgetting people’s names, and my speech has become nearly undecipherable.
I don’t have big plans or anything, but I figured I’d just put this here and let you know that the weekend will just be a smooth occasion around my way. Thanks for the well wishes, and enjoy the weekend. If you’re around, come kick it. If you need to know where I am, hit me on that Twitter.

This video is incredible.
I’m dropping a super-official weekend mix one of these days. You’ll jam it while you’re on the way to the club in the car with your squad members, or while getting ready in the crib. On the iPod coming home from work after a hectic Friday! Once you press play, you know you’re free for a couple days. It’s friday, and it’s officially the start of the weekend, so go hard or go home. The song you heard above was by California-based electro group Wallpaper; download below.

well i’m just outta here for a little. i’m in cali. but we just did some big things. we LLC’d DC to BC. meaning, it’s about to become so much more than a blog. we’re trying to get money out here just like the rest of the world. marketing, branding, consulting, a whole bunch of trill social networking stuff, and management, all that stuff. not just artists, either. small businesses, up-and-coming bloggers, and anybody and everybody who thinks they can use our help. we already have clients and stuff, too. we’ve worked with christian rich, the over achievers, by any means management, and more. clients come in all sizes, and we can work with whatever. trust me.
that’s just to say that we’ve expanded. blog will still be here, and i’ll still be talking that same stuff i was talking before. more organized though. better content. more original stuff, because everybody else does the same stuff musically. and the redesign is coming soon, via my man sheldon smith. yeah, don’t sleep on us. he’s designed more sites than your favorite designer, and he’s way too nice with it.
you may also see a few ghost companies pop out of nowhere, too. social events calendars, ventures here and there, parties anywhere on the east coast, believe it buster. we got a few investors and stuff, so we’re doing alright. we just need to make it all happen. shout out to my partners in crime, quinn, jamel and marcel, as well as the lovely DC to BC ladies that you’ll soon have the pleasure of meeting. we’re all from the DC area (PG, DC, Montgomery County, you choose, we got somebody from there.). and all went to Boston College.
if you feel like you or somebody you knows needs our services, e-mail us. info@DCtoBC.com. otherwise, keep jamming with the blog. great stuff is coming soon, i swear. i know, we take a lot of breaks and stuff. but it looks like DC to BC is here to stay.
