Oooh, buddy! This is like an easter egg for die-hard N*E*R*D fanatics.

The album leaked yesterday. No, I will not share it. I will, however, toss you this extended version of one of the album’s highlights, “Inside The Clouds”, that made its way to the surface of the earth today. The album version was a huge tease to see what else they could have gone with the track, and lucky for us, they tossed us a full version, which is available on the Japanese edition of Nothing. This joint is reminiscent of those minor chord-heavy jams that were all over the first album.

So my marvelous Twitter follower @TGIME just hipped me to TheNeptunes.org article on this joint, which basically says that this dude just took a program to that regular version of “Inside of Clouds” and flipped it! This isn’t any official remix! There is, however, a snippet for a different song that is apparently a Amazon.com bonus track! Another N*E*R*D leak, guys. Another feel-good track, but I hope this isn’t a highlight on their album. You know me, though. My N*E*R*D bar is sky high. I only want the best from them, as you can imagine! Their fourth project, Nothing, is slated for November 2nd.

I used to hate it, because I was blown that neither Shae nor Chad get any shine. Then my girl Marianna reminded me about the In Search Of… album art.

Welp, that ends that argument. It’s fresh. And Chad doesn’t like the spotlight, anyway. I went to a show a couple months ago out here at Constitution Hall, and he was on stage, on his phone. Playing his keyboard, but on his phone. During the concert. Damn. He really just doesn’t give a you-know-what anymore, huh. Ha. The new album drops Nov. 2. It’ll be the next thing I purchase with my hard-earned cash.

Come on, P! You’ve had your fans bending over backwards waiting for this fourth N*E*R*D full-length album to drop! First we heard that Nothing was coming July, but instead, nothing came. What a clever ass trick, guys. Then you said September. Again, the wrong nothing. Last I heard from my guys over at TheNeptunes.org was that the album is hitting stores on October 19, but Star Trak’s word on album release dates is shakier than Michael J. Fox after he found out that he had Parkinson’s disease. And that’s not a jab, because Back To The Future 2 is my favorite movie. Merely a simile/comparison to make you think I was going HAM slamwich.

Anyway, my secret sources have scooped up some show footage of my favorite band playing some recent gigs. Here’s them debuting a new track “I Seen The Light” at York University. I heard this joint when I somehow finagled my way into their listening session in New York this summer. I swear, this is the ONLY song I remember from the joint, and was by far my favorite. They said they scrapped 19 songs from the album and started working on all new ones, so I’m glad they kept this in the equation, because it’s that old sound that I’ve been longing for.

Finally, right? They’re cranking some stuff that sounds more like the old days. If you can’t get enough, then Real Talk NY has some more footage of N*E*R*D performing at the Honda Honda CR-Z event yesterday in NYC. Peep it here.

See that cute girl in the middle? Her name’s Rhea. I follow Star Trak’s Fam-Lay on twitter, and I swear I saw something he tweeted about a new member of N*E*R*D a couple weeks ago. Now if you know me, you know that you can’t get any better than N*E*R*D. Christians have Jesus, Muslims have Allah, and I have N*E*R*D. I know the words to their songs, I understand them even when the critics don’t, and I travel by air, sea, and foot for shows all over the globe. I’m a fan. So when you start to change a good thing, a.k.a. add a sexy but little known chick to my favorite group of all time, of course I’ll feel a certain type of way.

concrete loop reports that N*E*R*D’s frontman was posted at the riviera zushi marina in kanagawa, japan, performing with the group for MTV vibrations ’08. he looks half-asian there with that dirt lip mustache, so he must have felt at home.

i had to dig into the archives and grab one of his best verses. “high rollers,” off his gangsta grillz mixtape. who said the man can’t rap, anyway?

i’m a n*e*r*d fan. in fact, i’m like the guy stan from that eminem song. so when i heard my man noa christofer created his own video for this song, i had to spread the good word. tell me what you think.
