i know. it sounds almost despicable that i’m posting something that’s about me on another site. but let me explain.
first off, Eighty81 is a site i visit daily. they are an events management/marketing firm based out of cleveland that does remarkable work. they also run a very entertaining blog that features everything entertainment junkies need in their life. Eighty81′s jameel hollered at me after expressing that he had been a fan of the blog, and asked me if i’d like to take part in their their “rules of attraction” segment.
so i said yes, and it was a wrap from there. so check it out here, and remember: if it was wack i wouldn’t tell you to peep it. and definitely look out for my answer to question #4. i had to keep it as real as possible. i promise you will enjoy it. spread the word, and shout out to jameel and Eighty81 for showing me some love! check out my other homies and their “rules of attraction” pieces too – amanda diva, cool kids, heather of HERfection, rhode island’s theo, and my homies christian rich! they’re all on there somewhere.

lykke li rocks, and this is the trillest interview that exists with her. not only do we finally learn how to pronounce her name, but we learn all sorts of things about her! if i find this swedish vondagirl, i will try and wife her on the spot. did you hear her spit that ATCQ!?“and if you feel the freak, do the jitterbug!” oh boy! i don’t know tribe like that, but her hip hop knowledge, combined with her accent and shy yet sassy nature, and her cute laugh… i can’t say enough. oh, and one day, nardwuar is gonna try and interview somebody crazy like DMX. and his life will end, instantly, after a quick series punches to the face. as much as we hate the man, we love him for his in-depth research on his subjects. trill.
unfamiliar with the young woman? canadian rapper and current hip hop sensation drake hopped on one of her tracks. i’m throwing it your way. enjoy.

wow! this is for my people from back in the day that put me on to the classic hip hop group, jurassic 5. remember the ultra baretone rapper, chali 2na? well, he’s still rhyming, and better than ever. check out what he had to say while chopping it up with G4 TV.
well hot damn. this clip captivated me all the way through. he seems like he’d be the coolest uncle or godfather. don’t look at me like that, you know you feel me. and while his freestyle is cool, his written verse is absolutely phenomenal. forget all those other rappers with this “swag” and rocking ice and nice gear! this is HIP HOP RIGHT HERE! and he’s so well spoken! before you try and chastise me for that previous statement, go watch cam’ron answer questions. he can’t speak for his life. sheesh. look out for some new verses from Chali 2na on this site very, very soon.

why are they bowling though? katie seems like she’s a cool chick. but she also seems like she was the extra peppy girl in class who everybody wanted to slap in high school, but she got cool and hung with the black kids when she got to college. and maybe got rocked by a few, too. i’m just saying. she couldn’t handle the cough syrup and “pot” questions, either. she looked scared. man up, katie. SNL should mock this in a skit.
am i the only person who thinks this interview is pretty weak? if anything, it’s alright. i mean, if he wanted to show the world himself, his true self, then couldn’t they have showed the darker, grimmer, syrup-sipping, pill-popping animal? i’m just saying. this sounds toned down, with a whole bunch of stereotypes in there. i know the people want more. i’ve been a supporter since hot boyz were popular. still kicking myself over the fact that i couldn’t make it to that ruff ryderz / cash money concert back in middle school. instead, ben zweifach, jordan nichols, and andy suzuki went without me. they know i shoulda been there. they don’t even listen to them anymore. yeah, i’m pissed.

remember this guy? that’s the homie j. cole. i wrote about him a while back, and a bunch of you all really liked his music. like i said before, he reps fayetteville, NC as hard as fresh prince reps west philly. and he’s pretty much the next hip hop power move maker. he even makes his own beats. like this joint.

incredible, right? right. well, my girl elle of let’s just eat cheese chopped it up with jermaine, and the interview is extra thorough. everything from music to nostalgia for those college days to his goatee. and so much more. the writing is very impressive. on the professional tip. she writes like she works for vibe or something. ha. enjoy.
i just had an amazing interview session for a feature writing course, and was inspired to re-up this. while reviewing my notes, i came across a critical tactic in the art of interviewing: impress your interviewee with a knowledge of facts. in other words, show them you’ve done your homework.
well my man nardwuar takes this tidbit to heart. just watch. around 1:39 it gets crazy, and at 1:55, you will laugh. very hard.
he’s done much more interviews with an array of celebrity figures, too. check nardwuar out here. how old is this guy though? i’m just saying. coolest canadian i’ve ever seen, regardless.
