why with us?
well, look at the stats above. that’s what it’s been looking like. each month, we get more hits. in addition to the aforementioned stats, we also have a loyal following, as well as readers who drop by to get the exclusive music and videos that i throw around. we also have working relationships with some of the biggest blogs out there, and they know and respect us.
we represent DC, MD, and VA, as well as the prestigious boston college. we are also a lifestyle/music blog that gets visitors from all over the globe. i don’t just meant the sneaker freaks and hypebeasts out there, concerned about how they dress. we got the jocks, the nerds, the hopeless romantics, and the social outcasts, too. they all support DCtoBC. if you want to target people who are in those demographics, which is like everybody, holler at us.
how does it work?
it’s easy. for prices, hit us up. it’s cheap, and everybody benefits. especially you. if your pockets are thin, or you are a fan of good ol’ fashioned bartering, we also accept additional products (promo material, clothing, tickets, etc.) in exchange for ad space.

After working together on 2008’s Beautiful Loser LP (Goon Trax Records) rapper Awon and producer Kameleon Beats decided it was time to team up again. The duo envisioned a project reminiscent of the Pete Rock & CL Smooth or Guru & DJ Premier partnerships that garnered much acclaim in the 90’s.
With all of the lackluster music out there, they decided it was time to move things forward while staying true to their roots. Nostalgic music heads long for the golden era of hip-hop, but as products of the great influencers, Awon and Kameleon Beats plan to reinvigorate the game.
Their collaborative EP entitled Love Supersedes showcases their creative synergy as Awon delivers cleverly crafted rhymes over Kameleon Beats’ vintage jazzy production. The project also features fellow Soul Students crew members Dicap and Mac Da Menace. The end result is thought-provoking hip hop you can FEEL.
