The Clipse host an exclusive listening party/signing to play some their new album that drops December 8th Til The Casket Drops. Pusha T takes the reigns from the beginning, with Malice making a cameo somewhere in there for show. The younger of the Thronton brothers discusses the philosophy behind a few of the songs, as well as explains the creative process of the new album. They also speak a little bit on label drama and their Play Cloths clothing line. Talk about hustlers. Shout out to videographer Adam Saewitz and my man KQuick for throwing the footage my way.

Hot damn! The album has a whole rack of trunk rattlers. I heard P produced like 7 tracks, but I may be way off on that. Sidenote: I ran into Skateboard P on Monday at a very empty lounge / club in Baltimore (meaning we spoke and such, there was literally barely anybody there, so I could approach him without being too stalkering / groupie status), and was a little disappointed with the (little) interaction he had with his fans, but that’s not anything that I should be blogging about. Shout out to Fam-Lay, Chad Hugo, and the dude who runs the N*E*R*D twitter page, they were all cool as hell. Meeting your idol can, as I’ve now experienced, be very anti-climactic. He was appreciative of the N*E*R*D tattoo on my back though.

I’m just playing. It doesn’t exist. Yet. In the meantime, I’m preparing myself for this album by jamming their last mixtape. Enjoy.

yeah bro I figured he turned out not what u expected when u mentioned meeting your idol could be dissapointin on twitter. shit, you gotta get in his shoes, besides the fact he got lots of people approaching him all the time, half of them ain’t even fans, they just see him as a celeb.. so when real fans approach, he can’t tell. and sometimes ppl just wanna chill below the radar

fam must be a cool ass dude. i seriously think his life & career are worth shootin a biopic about…

Interest level has heightened for the new Clipse record.

Celebs are an interesting breed. I just learned to not go in with any expectations after meeting a few of them. Some can be welcoming. Others, not so much and it’s best not to link public persona with who he/she may be off camera. They’re all characters.

Sounds like this album could be greatness. I’ve watched this video a few times now just to hear the second track (door man) again. Eagerly anticipating this album’s release.
