Best of the Blogroll is back, and boy oh boy do I have some sh!t for you to rock with. Like I said last week, I gotta give people the best things I’ve come across from my blog affiliates on my blogroll. That’s that section that has all the links on the right hand side of the blog, so get familiar.
- Pocket Full of Paper covers Format Mag’s “Hip Hop Icons Simpsonized”, which features some of your favorite (and least favorite) artists portrayed in that classic Simpsons style. Check who they cover here.
- It seems like everybody was disappointed with Jigga’s BP3, so my man Kevin Nottingham decided to bless us all with more vintage Jay-Z coverage than I’ve ever seen. I’m talking lyric breakdowns, comparisons with some of hip hop’s heavyweights, and more thorough blogging. If I had to recommend one thing to check out, it would be Jay’s first song ever recorded, from ’86 (he was just 16!). Listen here.
- The DMV’s tastemaker collective known as Real Mango Juice has finally re-launched their site, and while the updates aren’t heavy yet, I implore you to bookmark, because they’re about to start running the city and its surrounding areas. Watch out!
- For you fashion aficionados: the guys over at DC’s own Durkl dropped some info on their ’09 Cut & Sewn line via e-mail. It drops on Monday online and at their new retail store on I St NW DC, but to see what the Durkl crew has been up to until you can cop your $#!t, check their blog.
- My man Dan has been using his blog, YEBies, to create awareness of important issues around the globe that aren’t getting enough attention. The news hasn’t been focusing on the fact that flooding in West Africa has affected the lives of over 600,000 people. Learn more here.
I hope that’s well-rounded enough for you. Maybe next time I’ll have some more stuff that appeals to my female visitors. In fact, if you have any suggestions of what else you wanna see on here, leave them in the comment section or e-mail me (info@DCtoBC.com).

Your blog roll is pretty much unrivaled. Everything on it is a banger. I’ve been through probably 95% of them and you have certifiable links on there! The five you just posted are definitely amazing. Kevin Nottingham is sooo thorough. So anybody who hasn’t checked those sites def needs to.
