incredible. i’m throwing this out there: my girl amber from the left coast can attest that i knew about this song before the masses. i just gotta say it. whatever camera they use in this video is too crisp. watch it, and start jerkin’. i’m trying to bring it over here to the mid-atlantic region.
the DMV collaborates once again as recent howard university graduate and superb rhymeslanger ice the villain recruits PG county’s raheem devaughn for this classic-sounding, feel good jam. i can hear this at a night time barbeque, seeing old people stepping to this. ha! from raheem’s upcoming mixtape, art of noize, dropping june 15th.

yeah, that’s right. i’m back to posting that DMV stuff. i figure, i’m finally here for a while, why not embrace this beautiful scene that’s developing!? cut me slack! i was going through some things.
i won’t lie. it’s been a long time since i’ve featured my man theo martins on the blog. and i have no good excuse. so to (try and) make up for my lack of theo postings, i’m throwing two gems at the same time. they’re both crazy, and the second joint is produced by my brothers christian rich who you may already be familiar with. enjoy.

yeaaah. this mixtape dropped a month or so ago. i’m fully aware of that. however, when it dropped, some thug (or thuggette, to be completely fair) had snatched my macbook and i was unable to acquire a personal copy. i had to download this on my roommates computer and play it on his speakers. whatever, though. it’s here for the taking, and i’m hoping you’ll jump on the wiz khalifa bandwagon after hearing it. it’s a solid mix of lyrical wordplay and swag music, and i don’t care how repetitive the content is, it will rattle your trunk all summer. download below, and tracklisting as well as a trill interview with him and my homies over at ILLVIbes after the drop.
i love when great mixes are released, and on may 27th, that happened on better than yours. i’ll let its creator, spinmaster and current DC resident jerome baker III, explain the vision behind the joint:
Bottle Service Please was inspired by the top 40 bottle service clubs that I’ve been fortunate enough to play in the last few years, specifically the Saturday night “Good Times” party @ Napoleon that we’ve (StereoFaith and I) been KILLING! This mix is DEFINITELY inspired by the Beckys, Chads and their ridiculous requests that I seem to always be nice enough to play.
This mix is 50+ Minutes of club friendly FIRE!!! There are super commercial bangers (please don’t stop the music, american boy, etc.) but there are some club bangers (u don’t know, hood n*gga) and its all fused together seamlessly to help create a TIGHT mix!!! If you like it download it, tell a friend (or a promoter or a skam artist rep) and come out to NAPOLEON on Saturday nights in DC.
so there you have it. it’s fire. like he said, it’s 50+ minutes long, similar to the cush cush mix i dropped the other day, so you can take this joint to the gym with you, or throw a house party and let it run through a couple times. you can sample it before you downloading through the link below.

not only is this song phenomenal and such a throwback, but my friend nichet is in it. no joke. starting 1:25. the fiiine woman on the left, the lawyer character, that’s her. but listen to how nice DJ quik was. the east coast never embraced him properly, and it’s unfortunate that i’m just getting on my game. oh well. enjoy.
make sure you find nichet on twitter (@NichetSmith) and let her know you saw her on DCtoBC.com in the video! ha.
