this is a big project that the homies over at HipHopUpdate were gracious enough to let me jump on, and for that, i thank them. read on.
With the release of his single, the announcement of his promo tour as well as the release date for his next official mixtape, “Back to the Feature,” we felt it was perfect timing to put together a nice compilation of Wale’s work up until this point.
This compilation mixtape includes work from his past mixtapes (Paint a Picture, Hate is the New Love, 100 Miles & Running, The Mixtape About Nothing), as well as some live material and rarer freestyles. This is similar in style to our Cudi mixtape, that’s done almost 11,500+ Downloads so far.
We set out to call it the “Road” to Attention Deficit (his upcoming Interscope album) because his career has been a journey thus far – so we included live audio from the UK, Australia, California, etc. that captures his journey around the world.
so there you have it. thank you to everybody who was a part of this process! special shout outs to J.D. and clifsoulo!

damn… i really wish you’d stop fcukin with zshare! i always have issues downloading ‘ish off that site. rapidshare, megaupload, anything but zshare! good lookin’ though. stay up….

no doubt, this is a hot complilation. it’s about time for the real album though. ppl are really checking for it, so i hope he comes out this summer as planned b/c he said he was supposed to come out december 2008. he needs to know if he can be commercially viable.
speaking of timing, you need to check out DJ Vlad’s new artist, Ti’Jean. The site is iAmHipRock.com Mannnn i got a download of it and he is going to show Wale who is the best in DC. Too bad they are friends, one of them is going to pick a fight with the other b/c of ego. I bet Wale picks the fight b/c he will feel insecure when Ti’Jean gets his shine. DC is not like NYC where a few artists can shine at the same time. Here (in the DMV) seems like when one rapper is “hot” they want to be the only one.
This type of mentality is why DC aint’ shit in hip hop. But change is coming, I can feel it.
Do us a favor DC to BC and review Ti’Jean’s mixtape, you will see why when you listen to it.
