the presidents of the united states of america. this was probably the first rock i ever jammed in my life on a consistent basis, but i have a feeling most rock enthusiasts considered these guys more entertainers than rockers. whatever. i just remember this group from 5th grade, and there was no better album than their 4x platinum-selling self-titled debut album at the time. i think i stole ben hunt’s copy and never, ever intended on returning it.
i recently discovered it in my iTunes, and the entire album has been on repeat all morning. it’s only right that i pay homage to the guys who put me on rock music, right? enjoy.

I only remember “Peaches” because of James & The Giant Peach movie dropping.

That “Peaches” video was crazy with the ninja fighting. “Lump” was cool too. They’re Nerd Rock to the fullest.
