rockwell. yup. that permanently paranoid guy. who is he!? he’s motown founder and CEO barry gordy’s son, and he’s semi-famous for his 1984 hit single, “somebody’s watching me” (although it was his close friends, michael and jermaine jackson on the hook that probably got this song love on the charts in all honesty). his story is kind of cool – he signed to his father’s label, but without his knowledge in order to avoid charges of nepotism. changed his name and all that. i don’t really know how that works, but the point is, he did it. he didn’t have too much success commercially, but i got my hands on his debut album, and i can safely say he could rock a little bit. anyway, below is the original track that DJ cam jus sampled, and a bonus for you too.
