somebody told me hip hop was dead today. so i put them onto new orleans MC jay electronica, and now they’ve rethought their statement.

i don’t know too much about this guy, except that blind i put me on a while back. i didn’t pay enough attention until this joint that i’m about to throw your way made it into rotation in the iTunes. i didn’t even know where it was from. hell, it didn’t even know how it got to me. no album art, no album title, nothing. but the beat had me once it dropped, and i was introduced to a rapper that i think could trade bars with nas and keep up, maybe even outshine every once in a while. you judge for yourself. oh, and don’t expect BG, juve, turk, or weezy either. just because he’s from louisiana doesn’t mean he has that hot boy flow.
