the reason i think my site isn’t a music blog is because i don’t care how old a song is, i’ll throw it up if it’s hot. with that being said, this is a gem i’ve been searching for since last year, and i finally got a hold of an mp3, so i figured i’d bless you all, with christmas around the corner and all.

hollyweerd’s frontman the dreamer hops on this crazy beat and recruits diddy’s umbrella holder for the last verse. andre 3000 takes care of the hook, sampled from outkast’s "so fresh, so clean" remix from a while back. it’s a short but sweet track that hopefully you’ll love. i’m mad that it didn’t get any blog love back when it first dropped.

who is li’l vicious!? well, vicious was a young dancehall prodigy. when i say young, i mean like he was in elementary/middle school during the height of his career. i don’t have an age, but i’m sure these videos will illustrate things clearly for you. [these videos aren't something you skip. they are gems that you must watch. don't think you can just scroll past this post like it's nothing big, buddy.]

despite the bootleg YouTube clip, you can’t tell me you didn’t get up and boogie for a minute or sway for a second when that beat dropped. you probably brought it back like DJ drama, too. do you hear that isley brothers “between the sheets” sample!? and i want to meet this chick nika, she must have been something serious. oh boy. you want more!? YOU GOT IT!

wow, did you hear doug e. fresh on the beatbox?! and is it just me, or did vicious just say he got shot in the foot, so he made a song called “glock”!? who is coming at the young bo during the years he’s supposed to be playing in the sandbox with his peersl!? i guess it’s a dog eat dog world out there, and vicious just got caught up in it. it’s 2008, 14 years later, and the dancehall hitmaker hasn’t completely drifted by the wayside. he has reappeared on his myspace page with a new moniker: don vic, aka da gwop getta. i didn’t say it, he did. and his new stuff pales in comparison, so i won’t even show you any. not to mention, he’s not little anymore, so the gimmick isn’t even there.

decided to throw you more of the toronto-based rock group, the carps. i really dig these two dudes. how many main singers are also the drummers, too? impressive. their gritty, unfiltered vocals is a plus. it’s like they wanted it to be the rawest $#!t we’ve ever heard. i dig that. i’m throwing out two jams, one from each of their EPs.

so my man TJ the DJ threw me this R&B club track from central florida’s own slow. yerp, that’s his name. there’s not that much info on the man, and i’m not even sure if he has his own myspace page or anything, but one thing’s for sure -he’s created an anthem. he looks like a trapper from the above picture (stereotypical? probably. but you know i’m right.), but homeboy can croon! he reminds me a little of the-dream mixed with t-pain without the auto-tune. you’ll see what i mean. if this blows up in the future, you heard it first here.

PFOP put me onto something vicious today.

apparently, fred hart, a student at the university of arizona, decided to make a cover for every song on kanye’s 808 & heartbreak.  the end result is f*cking phenomenal. i won’t say anymore, just check the pics below.

my only semi-gripe is that he used that scary looking human heart. it’s more real, though. so i can’t complain. and the above pics are just a sample. check out all 12 pictures HERE, they only get more better. which is your favorite!? let me know. i’m a “coldest winter” fan myself, but they’re all pretty incredible.
