my dude smokeYYY threw me an e-mail about this track a minute ago, and i finally got the chance to jam it. UK grime MC wiley and australia’s illest crooner daniel merriweather collaborate on this craaazy track. the video is pretty dope too. the concept and execution is awesome. i feel like it’s a take on the recession, because you know everybody in the world gets affected when the US economy is failing. peep.

i’m pretty sure his label did a contest and told people whoever makes the most vicious video for this single would get 10 G’s. this was the winner, i guess. i woulda liked to see more wiley and daniel, though. cuz clearly they aren’t the white guys and gals in business suits singing along. but still, though.

oh boy. i don’t know how i feel about this. they didn’t ride that “ridin’ dirty” beat properly at all, but they sound almost angelic on “hey ya”. you be the judge! after watching a third time, i’ve decided that this is not angelic in any way, shape or form. but it should be the most ridiculous thing you’ve seen all day.

i don’t care much for reviews, because i rarely agree wholeheartedly. but whoever wrote this review broke 808′s & heartbreak down to the smallest fraction. and i liked every bit of it. read it here.
i wish i could write feature writing pieces like this. so does my teacher, jon marcus. he used to be the senior editor of the boston magazine. i stopped showing that man any type of disrespect after i learned that. he’s great, and the most efficient and thorough paper correcter of all time. time to go work on that final draft of my kenny burns vs. the music industry paper. yes, i really did write that. i may post it soon.

after seeing this application at work on kendall’s iPhone, i seriously considered eBaying everything i own and taking out loans to get myself one. essentially, it does what i’ve been wanting to do my entire life. and i have no idea how it pulls it off. confused? you should be. so just watch this video.

exactly. the way your face looks right now after watching that ad is exactly how i looked when i saw this app in action. where’s that for the blackberry?! what technology is that? is it even legal? the thing is, with a lot of things like this, they look cool, but rarely work. shazam works like 95% of the time. in fact, i was in a busy sushi restaurant, and we picked up the music playing softly over the buzzing voices and cling-clanging of plates and dishes. this joint is OFFICIAL. and to top it all off, it’s free. and don’t fret! if you were extra cool and picked up that G1 google phone joint, you can get shazam on that bad boy as well. and a few other hi-tech phones that are out.

i’m serious. my homies over at the cool hunter just went around the globe, searching for the illest restroom designs. wouldn’t you be (kind of) excited if that was your next assignment at work? check out all the immaculately designed bathrooms they discovered here.

put in that work, and it’ll pay off. it sounds trivial and obvious, but sometimes you gotta just hear it from a different source. apply this to everything you do, and you’ll be ok. at least try! that way, if you aim sky high and miss, you’ll still be among the stars. ha.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL. caught this on my man sean’s facebook page. i feel so sad for him. and then i realized we’re in a recession and i’ll be unemployed because of him. so i quickly got over the sadness. the music added is even more crucial and in fact makes this clip that much better. i think we need to see more from bush. let’s get it.
