it’s sunday. and i figured i’d put a few people on to a very eccentric rapper. his name is MF doom, and he wears a mask, never revealing his identitiy to his fans. people only know him as MF doom. there’s not too much other info out on him. all i really know is that he’s from NY, but resides in rural georgia somewhere. he records, he performs occasionally, and he has a cult following. he’s an acquired taste, but if you like kool keith / dr. octagon / that kinda stuff, you’ll like this guy. his beats are ridiculous. i’m throwing you two craaaazy joints, so check them both out, and if you like, do your research and pick up some of his other stuff, or holler at me and i’ll hook you up. enjoy!

uhhh Operation: Doomsday may be my favorite album by dude
but if you heard of Madlib you definitely have to check out the classic collab album they did called Madvillainy. the group is called Madvillain. creative i know lol. but i dont throw the word classic around a lot. but its definitely one of the best albums ive ever heard. madlib and mf doom are two of the most innovative producers out there, and MF, although strange as hell, has some serious skills on the mic

the madvillainy joint and his DangerDoom collabo with Dangermouse are my favorite works of his. That accordion track is definitely a classic in my book too….interesting side note, the dude playing the accordion in ‘Accordion’ = daedelus. That’s a true artist, recognizing good music no matter the genre. except country. fuck that shit.

The first Viktor Vaughn album is probably my favorite Doom joint. He takes it a little deeper than usual and the beats are otherworldly (who the hell is King Honey, anyway?). But my favorite line is from Antimatter, which is a song on his King Geedorah album “Take Me To Your Leader:”
