if i could marry a music blog, it would without a doubt be blind i for the kids. cuz every day, my wife would put me onto something incredible, forever broadening my horizons. yeah, i’m on their johnson a little bit (all hetero/no brokeback, RIP heath), but it’s because they are the greatest innovators of the compilation CD. everything they throw to their cult following is from mars, or a surrounding planet/galaxy.
the latest gem i’ve scooped from them is dandiggity’s eclecticuts, vol. 2. i just got vol. 1 in rotation like two weeks ago and it’s also vicious, but this one gave me the eargasm (all hetero/no brokeback, RIP heath). yerp. eclectic collection of b-sides, remixes, and rarities that i’ve never even thought about thinking about. ever. goodness. how do they find these precious songs, i’ll never know. but kudos, blind i. kudos. i’ll throw a sample your way, and as usual, click the artwork or the link below to download. tracklisting after the jump!

mr. nas vegas: i just got some deep v necks whodi modi: naaaaaaaaaah modi: i just $#!tted all over this sucker who had one on today, slim. terrible move.
i’ve never been so disappointed when receiving an IM. deep v necks? geesh. what a horrible idea. i apologize for scarring your computer screen with this monstrosity of a t-shirt.
i hope this prompts mr. nas vegas to create an ambitious rebuttal campaign to my vicious smear tactics. only time will tell.

janelle has been in a heavy rotation recently. saw her in the A, as well as in the bean, and she killed both performances. felt like i needed to share some joints from her first album, "the audition." it’s so damn elegant, i felt like i needed to throw it up. girls, forget beyonce. bump alicia. this is the baddest girl in the game right here.

this neptune-produced masterpiece was supposed to go on jeezy’s second album, but never saw the light of day. until right now. skateboard hits the hook and gives us a verse reminiscent of his tracks from his dj drama mixtape, "in my mind: the prequel". that joint was P at his finest. in fact, i’ma upload that for you all later in the week. but yeah, it’s a different jeezy. i’m still a fan though. definitely would have helped to balance out the abundance of trunk bangers he had on that CD.

UPDATE: i need to know if i’m going crazy out here. i knew this melody sounded a little familiar, and i’m like 60% sure that he just slowed down the hidden beat on the track “little suzie” off kelis’ wanderland album, and sampled just a small segment of it. somebody let me know if i’m tripping, please. the hidden track comes in at like 4:25. check it out and tell me if i’m right or not! it’ll drive me crazy all day if i don’t figure it out. DL: kelis – little suzie (+ two hidden tracks)
hot damn. he’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. and this time, it’s free. i don’t know why he tried to charge people for that last mixtape messiah. he knows it’s a recession.
i’ll let it be known now: king koopa wrecks the majority of this mixtape. and don’t forget, cham got a nice little tenor/baritone voice too! he jumps on some hood joints, some commercial joints, and some in-between joints. it’s better than MM4, but doesn’t touch any of the first three. it still knocks though. be your own judge.

wow. i don’t typically watch joe budden TV, but i clicked on this episode and laughed out loud, so i figured you needed to do the same. joe is actually hilarious. how many rappers keep it this real!? he interviews a guy in canada because he saw him wearing extremely tight jeans (known as skinny jeans by our generation) and needed to get him on camera. watch the hilarity ensue.
“ey yo!” LOL. i don’t know whether to pity logan or not. i’m pretty sure he didn’t know who joe budden was before this. he can never forget after this.

if you don’t know, let me put you on game: college visits are the best part about college. simple as that. and UVA held me down this past weekend. i need to throw a thanks to everybody out there who made that weekend power move like twenty times more crucial than i expected it to be. a special shout out to my hosts, as well as all the people out there who support DC to BC, too! i didn’t know we had a UVA fan base like that. it made me want to step the blog up even more knowing that people actually like what you’re providing.
i’ll be back over there soon. and my kids will probably go there, too. i’m calling that early. so whoever my wife is will have to learn that. and quickly. oh, and shout out to remix, too. that acapella group is phenomenal. i couldn’t find footage from the performance i checked out this weekend, so i had to hit their archives and get some from last year. still crucial. check it out:
crucial. thanks again to the school founded by a slave-owning thomas jefferson. ha. i’m just playing. kind of.
he just gave lil dude a pound. how many presidents have done that? besides clinton w/ lewinsky. but that was a completely different type of pound. and i’m not sure if it actually happened. just my own speculation. boooooy, hillary must have been mad!

incredible. i need to see if these guys are still touring. i ran into them in south africa two years ago, and all their members were different. regardless, they laid down some solid acapella. and you can’t tell me this isn’t the best ending credits sequence of any movie you’ve ever seen. because it has to be. they’re stepping better than most black frats for christ’s sake!
