chamillionaire is among the best & successful mainstream rappers today, without a doubt.
don’t even try and argue with that statement. you too, duke! ha. his marketing scheme has been ahead of the curve, even when he was selling records out of his trunk and through mom & pop stores all over the south.
his first mixtape, mixtape messiah, he sold 40,000 at $11 a CD, with no mainstream support. his edge!? he let the fans know that he appreciated them. he would run contests through his website and let fans win everything from exclusive album art that he designed to video game consoles. he also used to stay after every show and sign all CDs and merchandise for any fan who wanted it. ask ricky, he went with me to the concert. that’s a key to success.
when he finally signed his major label deal, he went a modest gold off his lil flip-assisted “turn it up,” but crushed the game with “ridin’ dirty,” boosting those album sales to 1.5 million, and adding another 4 mill in ringtones sales (a record). all in an age where nobody really sells albums anymore. and he made sure to satisfy his cult following by throwing out some crucial mixtape messiah installments every now and then, too. all of them are album quality in terms of content. wow.
mixtape messiah 4 dropped on the 27th of august, and he’s selling it on his website. he has no shame in calling out the bootleggers and the downloaders who take away from his profit, and he shouldn’t. he doesn’t sell drugs or anything to subsadize that industry check. he just grinds in that studio and brings heat.
so after checking my bank account, i bought it. an actual CD copy of it, delivered to my dorm by next monday. and if you like his music enough, you should do the same.

I love Chamillionaire for every thing heis. H e just killed it on SWAGGER LIKE US. He started from tha scratch and pumped hard on top of tha industry. He used to transport BLOOD and URINE for an HOPSPITAL wen he was Teen. Today he is lol reach. He rose from ZERO to HERO. I respect chamillionaire Hustle. I bought all his albums and mixtapes. I’m also promoting his works here in Nigeria.
